Another good maths site that explains different areas of maths is mathwithlarry. Some of the lessons are text but some have video too - the videos are on the tvlesson site too.

Here’s a couple of the questions they answered:

I have a solid shape with five flat faces, eight edges and five corners. What is my shape?

I have a 6×6 times table grid. Sum all of the numbers on the L-R downhill diagonal.

In the first lesson we covered how Hinduism fits with the other major religions of the world. Watch this 90 second video to see when the different religions began and expanded around the world.

Because we don’t want you getting bored during the Easter Holidays, here are some tasks to stop your brain from turning into a lovely pink sponge.

These maths questions are all paper B questions from previous SATs, which means you can use a calculator! There are 20 questions for each level (4 & 5). If you are in the JG maths group and you are finding some of the level 4 questions easy, or if you fancy a challenge then you should try some of the level 5 questions. You won’t be able to do them all, but you will be able to do some of them, which means more points.

We have given you the answer sheet to download after you have had a go at the questions. Do not look before, you are only going to be cheating yourself - you won’t be able to do it in the SATs.

Remember, if you are a level 4, you need to dig a little deeper; what/who will this effect, why is it such a catastrophe? Section C (style) is where you can score lots of points.
