If you&#8217;re having trouble with a particular area of maths or you&#8217;d like to see the kind of maths you might cover at secondary school, try <a href="http://www.tvlesson.com/sub_channel.php?chid=18&amp;subid=54">these videos</a>.</p>
<p>Another good maths site that explains different areas of maths is <a href="http://www.mathwithlarry.com/freemathlessons/free-math-lessons.htm">mathwithlarry</a>. Some of the lessons are text but some have video too - the videos are on the <a href="http://www.tvlesson.com/sub_channel.php?chid=18&amp;subid=54">tvlesson </a>site too.</p>

<p>Here&#8217;s a couple of the questions they answered:</p>
<p><em>I have a solid shape with five flat faces, eight edges and five corners. What is my shape? </em></p>
<p><em>I have a 6&#215;6 times table grid. Sum all of the numbers on the L-R downhill diagonal.</em></p>
<p>Highlight the space after the colon to reveal the answers: <font color="#ffffff">square based pyramid &amp; 91</font></p>
<hr size="2" width="100%" />Check out the <a href="http://popmaths.com/pmquiz/2008/Y6/index.php?p=1">pictures of the 2008 pop maths quiz</a>. Can you spot our studious teams?</p>

<p>Because we don&#8217;t want you getting bored during the Easter Holidays, here are some tasks to stop your brain from turning into a lovely pink sponge.</p>
<p>These maths questions are all paper B questions from previous SATs, which means you can use a calculator! There are 20 questions for each level (4 &amp; 5). If you are in the JG maths group and you are finding some of the level 4 questions easy, or if you fancy a challenge then you should try some of the level 5 questions. You won&#8217;t be able to do them all, but you will be able to do some of them, which means more points.</p>
<p>We have given you the answer sheet to download after you have had a go at the questions. Do not look before, you are only going to be cheating yourself - you won&#8217;t be able to do it in the SATs.</p>
<p><a href="http://marlcliffey6.edublogs.org/files/2008/03/level-4-easter-qs.doc" title="level-4-easter-qs.doc">level-4-easter-qs.doc</a>      <a href="http://marlcliffey6.edublogs.org/files/2008/03/level-4-easter-ans.doc" title="level-4-easter-ans.doc">level-4-easter-ans.doc</a> <img src="http://viewer.thinkfree.com/images/view.gif" style="cursor:pointer" onclick="showWindow('http://viewer.thinkfree.com/html?url=http%3A%2F%2Fmarlcliffey6.edublogs.org%2Ffiles%2F2008%2F03%2Flevel-4-easter-ans.doc&action=view');"/></p>
<p> <a href="http://marlcliffey6.edublogs.org/files/2008/03/level-5-easter-qs.doc" title="level-5-easter-qs.doc">level-5-easter-qs.doc</a>     <a href="http://marlcliffey6.edublogs.org/files/2008/03/level-5-easter-ans.doc" title="level-5-easter-ans.doc">level-5-easter-ans.doc</a> <img src="http://viewer.thinkfree.com/images/view.gif" style="cursor:pointer" onclick="showWindow('http://viewer.thinkfree.com/html?url=http%3A%2F%2Fmarlcliffey6.edublogs.org%2Ffiles%2F2008%2F03%2Flevel-5-easter-ans.doc&action=view');"/></p>
<p>Here are some of extra maths worksheets. These will help you with our main weak areas which are: data handling, measures and problem solving.</p>
<p><a href="http://marlcliffey6.edublogs.org/files/2008/03/data-homework-1.pdf" title="data-homework-1.pdf">data-homework-1.pdf</a>   <a href="http://marlcliffey6.edublogs.org/files/2008/03/data-homework-2.pdf" title="data-homework-2.pdf">data-homework-2.pdf</a>  </p>

<p><strong><u>Science</u></strong></p>
<p>We have also given you some Science work to have a go at throughout the holiday. These are all designed to develop your higher order THINKING skills. We have been doing some of this work in school already. There are also some SATs questions and there are the answers to check your work after completing it.</p>

<p> Enjoy your Easter Holidays. Remeber that we don&#8217;t expect you to do all of this work. You know what your weaknesses are, so try to work on those.</p>
