We’re moving the Y6 blog to a more permanent page on the main school website. We think having everything in one place will make it easier for users to navigate.

As we begin our SATs revision, we are making some changes to the class timetables. The biggest change will be the introduction of Science Thursdays.
Every week we will be spending an entire morning dedicated to Science. This will involve spliting into 3 smaller groups, containing pupils from both Y6RS and Y6 JL, who will each have 1 lesson taught Miss Laird, Mr Souter and Mr Brooks.
Break time will be moved so we have the yard to ourselves!
Each week, pupils will be given SAT’s style homework questions which will be due in on the following Monday. It would be great if you could follow these sessions up with some linked work on SAM learning.
The Y6’s have made a fantastic start to their independent learning using SAM learning and Education City.
Carla is our current SAM Learning Star of the Week with more than 14 hours logged. She is closely followed by Grace and Nina. Well done!
In addition to these sites, there is a brilliant new Science link on the main school website – definitely worth checking out.
Enjoy!
Miss Laird’s maths set has a set of word problems relating to multiplication and division. The homework is due in on 27.1.09.
Also, remember to use Education City and SAM learning, you can find the links from the main Marlcliffe School website. Enjoy!
This week’s literacy homework is 2 pages focusing on curious spellings of plurals. Can you remember what to do when you add an ’s’ to a word ending in ‘y’?
You have 1 week to hand it in.
Check out our new Alma Mater page, especially for ex-Marlcliffe students! Click the link.
