Homework w/e 19.1.08

20 01 2008

JB Maths Group: algebra worksheets; look at the two algebra websites below; test your parents/carers with algebra problems.

JB English Group: write a one-sided argument against the amount of dog muck in the street outside the school and on the school playing field. You may need to look up ‘toxicara’ on the Internet (it’s a disease caused by dog muck).

JB Science: play on this gravity simulator.  How much force do you have to use when the gravity is strong compared to when it’s weak?  How much force do you have to use to keep the lander hovering in the air, not going up or down?  When are there balanced forces & when unbalanced forces?

Reading: don’t forget to fill in your reading journal & read with your parents/carers every night. Reading at your level is a discussion about what you’re reading - not that you can get the words right.
