Maths - JG Set:  Find the common denominator of the fractions. Convert them so that all of the fractions have the same denominator and then order them from smallest to largest. Once you have done that convert them back to the original fraction.

Maths - SB Set: Look at prices of goods in the shops, in newspapers or on the web & calculate different percentage increases/decreases.  Choose your own level of difficulty.  Try calculating the percentage increase/decrease if you’ve only got the amount increase/decrease or the new price.

History: We are thinking about why people move from one place to another. (Human migration.)A good starting point will be for you to discuss with your family:·         What has brought them to Sheffield/ Wadsley/ Hilsborough?·          Where they may have come from?·         What traditions (eg foods, customs) they may have brought with them? (eg fish on Fridays)·         Would anyone from your family like to come and talk to us about their reasons for being in Sheffield? 

You could find out about information from previous generations. 

Try to make notes that would make an interesting case study for you to share and write up at school.Remember, everyone has a past and history that is interesting.

Science: Complete the sheets about light and the direction that it will travel. Plus you need to find as many different sources of light and categorise them as either natural or man-made.
